Valentines Dance and a certain lady's hand
This day we headed down south to spend the day with my sister's family who lives down in Spanish Fork. It was a great day full of basketball, wrestling, patty melts (yummm), and cuddling on the love sac! The best part of the day though took place when Mr. Josiah asked my Dad for my hand in marriage!!! My Dad had told Josiah that I was a good judge of character and that I was a special girl (which obviously makes me feel so good). This is never an easy thing for a guy to do, but I was really grateful that Josiah respected my Dad and myself enough to do it. He's pretty wonderful! To celebrate the victory we were able to go to my Single's Ward Valentine Dance and dance the night away! We both love dancing and it was the perfect way to end the night. We even topped the night with ice cream to boot. I got to spend the whole day with Josiah and a whole day is still not even close to being long enough.

Going once...going twice...Sold!
Josiah has an old FFA advisor that is currently fighting cancer. He's a father of 6 adorable kids and I'm not quite sure how he's doing but we always hope for the best. A particular girl that I know from my Single's Ward was amazing and she organized a benefit dinner and an auction in order to raise money for the Burrell family. This event turned out to be quite a monumental event for us because we were able to make a productive night out of it. Not only did we eat dinner and support a friend but we were able to take care of some wedding details. The auction was held out in a county fair barn that holds a animal corral and everyone just gathered around on bleachers. On the auction table there were six mens wedding rings that we up for sale. The first ring was auctioned off and it went for $50. After that Josiah and I really got talking and we decided we wanted to bid. We figured it would make for a great story and that it would go towards a good cause. The auctioneer started the bid on the next ring and the bidding took place. "Do I hear $50?...55? 55?...60?.....Sold at $70to number 71." Number 71 would be us! We were pretty excited about it and Josiah was fully blushed. He knew some of the people there and they were giving him gestures of congratulations. He was really fun to see him blushing. This made for a great night! This was our first real step towards all of our marriage talk. This made all of our wedding talk more realistic. Not very often do you get the man's wedding ring before a proposal or even an engagement ring, but in our case that is exactly what happened!
Our fun experiment!
Who needs a haircutting license when you have clippers and a steady hand?....Well maybe we do.
Josiah was brave enough to let me give him a haircut, which is pretty brave. He told me the only person he needed to impress was myself so that if I messed up it didn't matter (he always says the right thing!). This was technically my second haircutting experience. My first one was years ago and I managed to give my Dad a bald spot even with my mother's supervision. The end result didn't end up half bad. Definitley Not perfect, but at least I didn't give him any bald spots. I would say that I'm definitely improving!
